Non OEM speedometer cables tend not to have a bend at the top where it's required to route the cable by the headlight housing. As a resut of the stress caused to a straight cable against the headlight, they eventualy snap. Searching around Kupang I was able to unearth several cables that were just a few cm too short, but nothing long enough for a larger motorcycle.
